Alisha:I kind of hate when you use a name that isn't necessarily geeky, but then ernoyvee interprets it that way. I mean, with Silas Anansi, ernoyvee thinks it's because we're Neil Gaiman fans (which we are), but we really were thinking about the actual Anansi stories, specifically the one where he steals the sky god's stories and brings people the gift of narrative. We thought that was really beautiful.*And* lots of people think the Silas part is after the kid from _Weeds_, which is a show I totally hate.If this next baby is a girl, she'll probably be named Petra, and given that we have a dog named Ender, ernoyvee will think this is after the character from _Ender's Game_, but it really is after her godfather. I guess my point is, you just can't win. People stink and they get everything wrong. Also, babies sort of grow into their names. Some of them come out and just DON'T look like a Jennifer or whatever you have picked, but most of them are pretty neutral-looking at the start. I can't imagine Silas having any other name, and I think it fits his personality perfectly. So pick a name you want your baby to grow into.
